Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that develops when lymphocytes (white blood cells) excessively multiply and grow out of control. Marginal Zone Lymphoma Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) is a group of indolent (slow growing) NHL B-cell lymphomas, which account for approximately eight percent of all NHL cases. The average age at diagnosis is 60 years, and it is slightly more common in women than in men. B-lymphocytes were initially thought to only play a role in the adaptative branch of immunity. However, a number of converging observations revealed that two B-cell subsets, marginal zone (MZ) and B1 cells, exhibit unique developmental and functional characteristics, and can contribute to innate immune responses.

27 Taken together, these results indicate that IRTA1 is differentially expressed in marginal zone B cells depending on their anatomic location and further suggest that the MZ of spleen and lymph nodes may be CD20+ B cells were predominantly confined to the centers of lymphoid aggregates, while the vast majority of the lymphoid cells surrounding the follicles and in diffuse areas were CD3+ T cells, including 3 cases with conspicuous atypical-appearing lymphocytes with irregular nuclear contours and clear cytoplasm morphologically resembling marginal zone cells (cases 1, 2, and 7) Image 3A, Image 3B However, a number of converging observations revealed that two B-cell subsets, marginal zone (MZ) and B1 cells, exhibit unique developmental and functional characteristics, and can contribute to 2017-07-14 · Primary Cutaneous Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma (PCMZL) is a rare, cutaneous B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It is a slow-growing tumor that affects middle-aged and older adults. Nonmalignant marginal zone B-cells (MZBCs) have a nonspecific B-cell immunophenotype, expressing the pan B-cell markers CD19, CD20, and CD79a and lacking expression of CD5, CD10, CD23, and CD43 (11–13). There are no specific markers for identification of MZBCs (11). As expected, flow cytometric immunophe- It is Marginal Zone B-Cells.

In mice, it has been shown that these cells shear flow via the LFA-1 integrin ligand ICAM-1 and adhere or migrate down the flow via the VLA-4 integrin ligand VCAM-1 . Marginal zone B-cell lymphomas, also known as marginal zone lymphomas (MZLs), are a heterogeneous group of lymphomas that derive from the malignant transformation of marginal zone B-cells. Marginal zone B cells are innate lymphoid cells that normally function by rapidly mounting IgM antibody immune responses to antigens such as those presented by infectious agents and damaged tissues. [2] 2002-05-01 · Studies on an 'old', but poorly characterized, B-cell subset — the naive, marginal-zone (MZ) B-cell subset — over the past two years have spawned an avalanche of data that encompass the Marginal Zone B-Cell B Cells.
